Three-Michelin-star chef goes independent with Chez Calvert at Azabudai Hills
Daniel Calvert, the British chef who earned three Michelin stars for Sézanne at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi, is opening his first independent restaurant on October 1. Named Chez Calvert, it will be located at Azabudai Hills, Tokyo.
Calvert was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2026 for his contributions to the culinary arts and UK-Japan culinary relations, a sharp signal of how seriously his work in Tokyo has landed on both sides.
